Photography Lessons

Lately I’ve been approached by so many people asking for advice on how to take better pictures that I’ve finally started offering lessons. You don’t need a degree to create beautiful images – you just need a camera and a subject. And the camera part is not even a must – your phone can do some pretty amazing things now too.

The weather is awesome here in the Midwest (Milwaukee/Madison) so I’m scheduling the lessons on location. You (student) will select a place based on your particular subject interest. If there is an entry fee for the location the student is responsible to pay for themselves and the instructor. If you’re interested in available light portraits – you will need to bring along your favourite model. Food pics? We can go anywhere you want to buy yourself a snack or a meal. Nature provides an endless source of photo inspiration and we are not lacking in beautiful places to go.

Classes are already being scheduled for June so don’t wait to grab your spot. You don’t want to miss out on capturing all that summertime fun!

Kids – up to age 14

Must have a digital camera or current model phone. Must have parental permission and transportation to/from lesson. All lessons are paid in full when scheduled.

Single one hour lesson: $35

Package of 4 – 1 hour lessons: $125

Adults – age 15 and up

Must have a digital camera or current model phone. Must have transportation to/from lesson. All lessons are pre-paid when scheduled.

Single 1 hour lesson: $60

Package of 4 – 1 hour lessons: $200

Adult groups – 2 to 5 people

Each person must have a digital camera or current model phone. All must have transportation to/from lesson. Please note that with multiple students – individual attention is limited. All lessons are pre-paid when scheduled.

Single 1 hour lesson: $50 per person

Students must know how to operate their cameras/phones BEFORE class begins.  If you do not know how to use your equipment please learn to do so before you schedule your class. I can provide you with a checklist of functions you’ll need to know before your lesson. Nothing major – just the basics for shooting. I will not be able to instruct you on all the functions of your camera during your lesson. Why not? You have one hour to learn how to take better photos – that’s more than enough to keep us busy!

**Once scheduled, lessons can not be rescheduled/cancelled without 48 hours notice. If an emergency arises, a one-time only reschedule is allowed. If you do not give notice that lesson is forfeited and no money will be refunded.**
